  When I change the text from ‘John Doe’ to my own name within the appearance panel it loses the font styling even if the style code is within the code these have no effect. Any suggestions?

  Sorry for the late reply.

  Please use CVIT Options instead of Appearance -> Customize to change the logo text and other options included in the CVIT Options.
