The template is broken when uploaded to a host and is fine when previewed locally so I assume that there’s some key that is needed. I have a purchase code – does it go somewhere?

USNews just an HTML template and there no need for any key to activate the template.
Could you please provide your website URL to review the issue.
Moreover, please follow the steps from the provided documentation to install the template on your server.

I followed the instructions copying the directories exactly to the host. You can see what’s happening at http://www.kson.news

I found the error. For some reason style.css was not uploaded to the host. You can close this request for support.
