Adding an icon in front of text

Hi, I want to add an icon in front of a text on the top bar. On the Sign In Text on the Header Layout I wrote Join Our AFFILIATE PROGRAMME with a link ….. how can i put an icon at the front of the text.

for example I use the <i class=”fab fa-adn”></i> and its not converted to html
please note its not the icon i want to use its an example 🙂

In this issue, please use Font Awesome 4.7.0 icon https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/ , not Font Awesome 5.0. Because this theme was built with Font Awesome 4.7.0

Hi and thank you for the prompt response….I have tried that
<i class=”fa fa-user-circle-o” aria-hidden=”true”></i> Affiliate Programme
and it still displays the whole thing not translating the html…..any suggestions?
