Blog Section – exclude categories and posts

Hi there,

I am having a few issues with my blog section filters. I have checked in the CVIT settings, appearance > customize, page settings, and post settings however I am not able to find where to resolve these errors. I have also cleared browser cache and tried this in multiple browsers. Can you help?

I need to do the following:

1. I need to remove the “miscellaneous” category from being included in my blog section filter list on my home page (please see screenshot).

2. I want these posts to not show up in the blog section (please see screenshot).

3. Some of my posts are not visible when I click on the category. For example, this post http://faribaa5.sg-host.com/pretty-little-thing is categorized under “Magazine Writing”, but it is not showing up when I click the filter “Magazine Writing” on the home page blog section.

Please note, my blog section title has been changed to “Writing Portfolio”.

Hello Riba,

1. It’s the default post category of WordPress. You can’t delete it but you can rename it.

2. If those are posts then there is no option to hire those from there.

3. Could you please delete and recreate the category to check the issue?

Hi there,

I know that I cannot delete the category, I just want it to not be visible in the filtered list. I know this is an option available in WPBakery page builder.

I have deleted and recreated the category, however the issue still persists.
