    Are still shown in the left column including their counts even when one specific cat is added to the shortcode. Suggestions? Thanks

    I find that hard to believe. You must not be understanding something.

    So if I set the shortcode to say:

    [foodbook_products col=”2″ cat=”menu” layout=”grid”]

    Only menu will be displayed, but if I have 30 other categories from cars to computers they still show?

    If that is really the case how do I hide the entire filter?

    It just doen’t make sense to be designed like that. 🙁

    If I wanted to create an entire page dedicated to desserts the user shouldn’t see chicken as a filterable category on the left side…get it?

    We appreciate your opinion. However, we are sorry to say that it just doesn’t make sense based on your needs, not for all.

    This is because we have researched users when we designed this and we found maximum shop owners want to show related or other product categories. If a customer gets interested in the related or other products they will buy the products. It increases their sales.

    Moreover, we have listed your opinion in our plugin feature update list to improve our plugin feature in our future update of the plugin.

    Can I hide the filter?

    There is no pre-built option at the moment. We have listed this in our plugin feature update list to add a feature to hide the sidebar in our next update of the plugin.

    [+] Added extra feature checkbox and radio button options
    [+] Added shortcode attribute for page sidebar hide and show option
    [+] Added shortcode attribute for product search bar hide and show option
    [*] Fixed some other issues
