Hello, I recently received an email from ThemeForest there’s an upgrade available for CloudServer.

I downloaded what appears to be the entire site for version 2.5.

Can you tell me where I can see which version is presently installed?
I’m assuming it’s version 2.4, which I purchased last October and was installed by your team.

I’m concerned on overwriting the changes I’ve made if I uploaded all the files.

Wondering what is the best approach for upgrading to 2.5?
Maybe only some system files need to be upgraded?

I’m lost on what to do here, please help.
I still have some time left on my 6-month support from original purchase.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thank you
    Dominick

    Dear Dominick,

In version 2.5 we have updated the WHMCS template to make it compatible with the WHMCS v8.1.x and provided support for WHMCS Twenty One theme.

Please follow the steps below to update the latest template.

    1. Log in to your cPanel
    2. Upload the CloudServer to the templates folder of your WHMCS installation
    3. Log in to your WHMCS Admin Area.
    4. Navigate to Configuration > System Settings > General Settings.
    5. Under the System Theme setting on the General tab, select the name of the theme you created above.
    6. Click Save Changes and visitors to your site will immediately begin seeing your new theme.

    Note:
    ==============================================
To update the WHMCS template Header and footer, Open header.tpl and footer.tpl inside CloudServer folder and edit accordingly.

Thank you for the clarification, I uploaded the WHMCS files now I’m receiving a connection issue when I navigate to any of the domainregistryservices.com/whmcs/ pages.

The spinning circle is showing and doesn’t clear.

I also uploaded the new footer.tpl and header.tpl files also.
I think I should of left the previous ones because I had all the navigation links edited.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

    Dear Dominick,

Did you update the WHMCS system? If you want to use the updated WHMCS template then you need to update the WHMCS system to the latest version of the WHMCS.

    Dear Dominick,

We have seen that your uploaded CloudServer WHMCS template has too many files. Where you found that WHMCS template?

Please check out our provided WHMCS template where has only 3 .tpl files that you have downloaded from the ThemeForest.

Please download the updated template from the ThemeForest and use that updated WHMCS template to get rid of the issue.

    Best Regards,
    ThemeLooks Support Team

    Hi Keymaster,

I had those files uploaded already. I uploaded again and now it’s working fine.

I’m a little surprised that it’s not the same color blue as before to match.

Happy that it was a simple fix however.

I would really like to change the subdomain from whmcs to portal.
Can you guide me how to do that properly?

I would like to add the logo to the whmcs pages also.
Is that how to documentation available somewhere?

    Dear Dominick,

We are sorry to say that the installation and customization service does not include item support.

Please learn more about the Envato Market (themeforest) item support policy (item support includes & not includes), here https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy

OK, I understand Keymaster, I was looking for any documentation so I can try to make the changes myself.

I don’t understand why an upgrade would change the color of the original design and remove the logo.

Now I noticed that the system theme was switched to Twenty-one, when I put it back to cloud server the connection came back. It’s disappointing that this new update named Twenty-one does not match the HTML template appearance that was originally purchased.

    Dear Dominick,

It can be your WHMCS system setting issue.

You could check out their documentation https://docs.whmcs.com/Main_Page

Well, it’s a lot of information there, I wouldn’t know where to begin looking.

As I see it presently whmcs 8.1 (twenty-one) is installed and working but cloudserver is not.
Switcching to cloudserver theme creates a connection problem.

The upgrade is not functioning, why?

Are you stating it’s one of the whmcs settings within the admin control panel?
