    I do not use domain ext. as drop-down list, but if I remove the ext. select part from domain-search.php the length of the input text field is reduced to 75% …
    Is there a way to disable the ext. feature or where can I set the column length of the input field to 100%?

    ok, I was able to solve this by changing:

to
<div class="col-sm-9">
