Question about the customization of “Sign In”

Hello,
I want do some customization of “Sign In”, and there are some questions:
1 How to set the backend server to a specified IP address
2 How to build my own parameters in the Sign In url
3 How to do some customized calculation(MD5, for example) to the user name and password.
4 If people have already signed in, will the user name and password be cache in the browser so he need not to do the “Sign In” next time ?
