Sorry for the inconvenience.
First of all, backup the theme files if you have changed/edited any code of the theme, also backup the database before update the theme.
After then, please follow the steps below.
1. Go to Appearance -> Themes
2. Active another theme & delete the CVIT theme
3. Upload, install & activate the latest version of CVIT theme
