I cannot figure out how to edit my WHMCS theme and get WHMCS bridge working.

If you want to use WHMCS Bridge, then you won’t need to edit the WHMCS Template.
Moreover, please watch the video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WihLpSkLQdA&t=0s&list=PLbmIKrgYlRbofaaLEvJJMEQE0aqJjdVFQ&index=3 to setup the WHMCS Bridge and Bridge Page properly.
